In my travels through the world of online commerce I have come across a boatload of ugly crap, y'all. A boatload. So I started collecting things that misguidedly claim to be fashion, and putting them in a little flickr album entitled Is this fashion I see before me? You should probably look at it*. (For full snark, do not choose the "view as slideshow" option.) Interspersed among the horrors are a few rest stops of sublimeness where you can bathe your optic nerves in the cooling rays of actual beauty. I mean, you can look at some pictures that do not include genie pants. GAH!

*WARNING: side effects may include nausea, vomiting, and severe retinal damage.

Oh my god. Okay, so I saw a bunch of pants and whatall in your flickr stream, and I must say I am relieved that this is why. Because, seriously, no one wants to go shopping with me when every five seconds I am all "Oh my GOD what is the DEAL with the knickers/skinny jeans/gaucho pants/ultra-ultra low rise?!" Gah. I can't stand the clothes lately. I will say I am glad about the longer tops recently. Ain't no one want to see this midriff.

This midriff is starting to cry out for maternity wear (a premature cry! we are still contracepted!), or at least some MomPants. I would wear MomPants every day if the only other option was freaking gauchos. What the hell?? It's the clothing apocalypse!

Is this fashion? I submit that it is not.
